  Need to get back on this site anyway this has great performances, a good soundtrack, and a funny script with a great premises and really interesting ideas. But it doesn’t really say much about what it keeps observing about these former hippies having to assimilate (or grow up) into normal society. Worth a watch though

  idk how to even discuss a film this captivatingly real. steven spielberg made this the same year as jurassic park so yeah he could steal the moon and id allow it this film is impeccably directed and handled with such care it’s incredible. the screenplay and character work of the main and background characters are perfect and only get better when you add fantastic actors like liam neeson, ralph fiennes, and (imo underrated in this movie) ben kingsley. teared up many times throughout this and there are some images and scenes in this movie that i will never ever forget. just wow. it deserves its reputation.
