  Dean Martin really disappears into the role of Dude in a way I didn't expect. My brother didn't even realize it was Deano until he shaved. I guess I expected a character that would just be "Dean Martin but Cowboy" (which I wouldn't have had a problem with), but his performance is so much more than that. His depiction of an alcoholic going through withdrawal symptoms seemed quite realistic.
