  love how this movie plays homage to the musical theatre gays that came before and still appeals to its og audience while welcoming everyone into oz. the costuming is great and gorgeous. i think i cried at least once in every song, i understand why cynthia and ariana act the way they do. they were perfect for these roles and understand the attachment to these characters. ariana's voice is so galinda and im so happy to see her style change…

  modern raunchy satiric comedy done right. it was everything i wanted and more. ayo edebiri is the people's princess, america's sweetheart. they don't make raunchy high school comedies like they used to, but this exceeded all the expectations and might've just started a new wave i'm thinking. it's fun and silly and camp. comedy should be progressing as we progress. the problem isn't that people are sensitive, maybe some old comedies just aren't that funny.... we can make fun of each other and be funny without kicking oppressed groups while they're down and this is proof.
