  THRILL RIDE

  I can be such a sucker for a big practical monster costume, but this was so excellent all around. Barren white landscape is beautiful and cruel and the paranoia the actors exhibits is FUN. Bonus points for the Morricone soundtrack.

  Wasted potential! Biopic as a genre needs to lean away from truth-telling and more into fiction. Or at least make a political point. This was a film that starts and ends with Priscilla's identity as a survivor. It offers her no interiority, it offers no politics about witnessing abuse or celebrity, and feels so much more intent on delivering her moping around the Graceland-Glam than anything else.
