It’s so beautiful that the visual poetry of Iranian cinema transcends cultures and backgrounds to evoke poignant feelings about kindness and humanity. One of my favorite movies ever is Where is the Friend’s House (خانه دوست کجاست) because of its compassionate display of empathy with so much sincerity, beauty, and simplicity. I am in love with the fact that the impact of the compassionate filmmaking that characterizes much of Iranian cinema reaches people beyond borders and cultures, a universal language.…
