This feels like Soderbergh was into the idea of doing a Bond film, but wasn't too keen on playing in someone else's sandbox. That's a compliment.
It's a smart, sexy, tightly woven espionage thriller that never gets too infatuated with its own cleverness that ot drowns in twists. It has a laserlike focus steered by Michael Fassbender.
And while he is a strong lead, the ensemble around him each get moments to shine, and outshine.
My favourite of the year so far, and definitely worth watching.
