Twisters 2024
No one is more surprised than me...I did not hate this. I could’ve done without all the cousin fucker music, but as a big fan of Twister, I was not let down. I enjoyed the many nods to the 1996 film that they weaved in where you wouldn’t necessarily notice if you hadn’t seen it (at least a few times). I’m a weird human. A nerd for a vast spectrum of a lot of things. Tornadoes being one of them. I would watch this again.

Black Christmas 2006
The disrespect y’all gave Andrea Martin by casting her in this atrocity. ::shakes head::

Sinister 2012
This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.
Though the end result was pretty easy to figure out, Derrickson gives us a modern day horror masterpiece with Sinister. One of the few horror films in recent memory that I can say genuinely scared me and got my heart rate going. Vincent D’Onofrio’s appearance was a pleasant surprise. I thought Ethan Hawke played being terrified better than most and that James Ransome certainly held his own. Sidenote: I loved seeing both Hawke and Ransome return in Derrickson's The Black Phone.
