  This movie does a real good job at telling a difficult story without taking cheap shortcuts. Outstanding performance by Riz Ahmed, which I think deservedly places him in good position for award season. We travel through the stages of grief seamlessly. This movie doesn’t drag and keeps you attentive throughout. Also shot well and phenomenal use of sound editing to complement the plot. 

  Would like to see this movie get a nom for best picture, Best Actor, Best Sound, & best Original Screenplay

  The good: Obviously the setting is fantastic. Good shots around the grounds of Saltburn. 
  Barry Keoghan is a freak, Jacob Elordi is… well, Jacob Elordi. 

  The meh: I don’t think this movie has much to say. Shades of Parasite, Talented Mr Ripley (!!), or Knives Out where an outsider infiltrates an ultra wealthy family and takes from them through charm and wit. And I guess in this case by being a disgusting little freak.
