  it's a strong and totally soul-crashing movie about real events - the deportation of Crimean Tatars from Crimea by Soviets in 1944. the director, who is a Crimean, shows as the beauty of this nation's traditions as the horror of forcefully being taken from your own home and loaded on trains to be sent elsewhere if not killed. fucking Soviets.
