Sicario: Day of the Soldado 2018

Definitely nowhere the level of storytelling that its predecessor contained. Give me some backstory for Miguel, give me some back and forth between Reyes and the main storyline, give me something more satisfying about Isabel. A bit lacklustre in my opinion but still worth a watch.

Finally watched my second film by director Denis Villeneuve (the first being Sicario). I loved every minute of this slow-grind film that ticked many of the boxes that made Sicario extremely enjoyable for me also. What I love most about both films is how the ending isn't all the perfect fairy-tale ending where everyone lives happily ever after.
