The Michel Cera Movie Marathon Part 19

Out of all of the films that Michael Cera has starred in throughout the years, “This Is the End” might just be the wildest one that I have seen thus far.

This movie primarily takes place within James Franco’s house during the events of the biblical apocalypse, which is already an insane premise for a film to have, but trust me, This Is the End somehow manages to get even wackier.

The Michael Cera Movie Marathon Part 18

Michael Cera only appears in this film for about 5 seconds, and he uses this time to both verbally insult a retail employee and to discuss fragility of his “delicate bone structure.”

10/10 on the Cera-scale, this movie is an absolute cinematic masterpiece.
    (6/10, this movie is okay.)

    Yeah, this movie sucks ass.

Megamind vs. the Doom Syndicate is a very disappointing follow-up to the original Megamind film.
The sequel does not contain a shred of its predecessor’s cleverness or humor, and the whole movie just comes across as soulless and cheap. The sense of sincerity present within the first Megamind simply isn’t there anymore. Even the film’s titular main character feels one-dimensional and bland, a total departure from the complex protagonist we grew to know and love…

    Father's Day

    ★★★

    Yeah, this movie’s pretty bad.

    Its acting performances are horrible.
Its plot is absurd and nonsensical.
It’s a failure of a film in every conceivable way.

    And yet…

I can’t help but fall in love with this movie’s sense of sincerity. You can tell that everyone involved in the creation of this film was having the absolute time of their lives making it. There’s this sense of earnestness to Father’s Day that makes it quite a compelling movie to watch.…
