    Death of a Unicorn

    ★★★

Death of a Unicorn took its very unique and interesting premise of, “what if Jenna Ortega and Paul Rudd hit a unicorn with their car,” and explored this concept in variety of creative and entertaining ways.

I found this movie’s narrative to be enjoyable, its comedic moments to be quite humorous and its anti-capitalist themes to be surprisingly well implemented, if a bit “on-the-nose” at times.

The Michel Cera Movie Marathon Part 19

Out of all of the films that Michael Cera has starred in throughout the years, “This Is the End” might just be the wildest one that I have seen thus far.

    (6/10, this movie is okay.)

    Megamind vs. the Doom Syndicate

    ★★½

    Yeah, this movie sucks ass.

Megamind vs. the Doom Syndicate is a very disappointing follow-up to the original Megamind film.
The sequel does not contain a shred of its predecessor’s cleverness or humor, and the whole movie just comes across as soulless and cheap. The sense of sincerity present within the first Megamind simply isn’t there anymore. Even the film’s titular main character feels one-dimensional and bland, a total departure from the complex protagonist we grew to know and love…
