90% of this film felt like a very rushed, overpacked and confusing early 2000s detective classic with all the cinema cliches you can think of. HOWEVER, the ending is absolutely briliant and you forgive/forget those 90% in the blink of an eye! Unsatisfactory satisfactions, a collapse of morality and a story that really asks: Is doing what’s legally right the same as doing what’s morally right? And when innocence is at stake, who truly deserves to decide?
While the execution is shaky it is a worthy watch even just for the 2000s nostalgia that hit me hard. They don’t make films like these anymore…
