  A few times this dialogue was so on the nose I wanted to roll my eyes, but other times it was so surprising I wanted to rip my heart out (Jesse Eisenberg at the dinner table talking about Kiernan Culkin’s suicide attempt)//Near constant tension between every day practicality and the depth of human emotion//why was Kiernan nominated for best supporting and not best lead for this????

  This is the film equivalent of a New Yorker comic. It says absolutely nothing but attempts to convince you it has a message by remaining inaccessible. Some pointless and gratuitously disturbing dialogue. Characters that totally preclude all alignment or likability. I can truly say I derived zero enjoyment out of this film. It took me two days to finish. Do not watch it.
