Mad Max 1979
What a weird movie. Having just watched Furiosa, it’s really inspiring to see how much better an older director like George Miller has gotten over the years. A lot of people make their first movie and struggle to get the sauce back, but Miller has clearly worked really hard on his storytelling and character writing specifically. It’s amazing what was done with a minimal budget, and through the MANY flaws of this movie (Mel Gibson can’t act) the flashes of greatness are a real treat.
