Decently entertaining although thematically felt all over the place, Robert Pattinson is strangely endearing and steals the show - he is somehow pathetic and fugly yet hot in this (very British).

Honestly don’t get the hype (although this also seems to be a popular opinion online), some stunning scenes and felt very beautifully intimate at times but doesn’t seem to say anything particularly meaningful or interesting

Rancho gives massive cult leader vibes and the film tends to oversimplify some pretty complex societal issues but it’s a Bollywood film and I don’t think we necessarily expect incredibly nuanced and realistic exposition from these films - it’s amazing for what it is - melodramatic, hilarious, catchy tunes, stunning and memorable sequences, great chemistry between actors, inspiring ideas (even if somewhat superficial), and some truly sob-worthy moments
Also the final scenes with the school in the mountains is such a trip and I’ve been dying to see India and that place specifically since watching this film for the first time in 2014
