  Crazy thought, but I feel like if you’re a mother concerned your teenage son might be a little too preoccupied with death and murder, you maybe should reconsider having him work on bodies at the funeral home with you. Maybe I’m just a square tho

  Pride and Prejudice: A New Musical 2020

  The writers of this musical either had very little faith in the intelligence of the audience or they really just suck at writing lyrics. Either way, this was not a good musical. It was fine as an adaption for fans of the book but this failed the medium. None of the songs were memorable, all the lyrics were expository or telling the audience bluntly what the characters’ emotions were. The actors generally did well with what they had to work with but other than that there isn’t much to love about this.

  The Veil 2023

  With 10 days to shoot and a minuscule budget, the filmmakers created a spooky, contained, and minimal story of haunting and regret. The Veil has the potential to be so much more if it had the resources, but it is great considering what it has. The biggest flaw of this movie is that the majority of it was as dark as that one game of thrones episode. It desperately needed to increase the brightness, holy cow (edit: apparently the darkness was a theater issue, not film issue. Would kind of like to see again with the brightness levels where the filmmakers intended it to be!)
