I went through so many emotions during this thing, but it's definitely one of those that could have used an earlier cut-off. It's a good fun watch until they start stretching it. I felt like "oh, we're going there? Ok. I did not see that coming", but then they go again, and again, and again. At some point of the last act, these shenanigans got me giggling. But then the feeling was "enough already, you had your fun, now quit…
It is so entertaining while being one of the most honest movies of the year. The voiceover along with the animation make fun of the tragedy the main character endures in the most endearing way. And even the credits are used to entertain (and throw shade). Loved it.
Heartbreaking af. There is so much here to unpack, but when you live long enough, you'll come to face one of these struggles, an aging relative, an avoidable death, guilt, fear... Any one of these issues has touched someone in some way, so it's easy to relate one way or another.
