The Brutalist 2024
Performances were incredible. Especially Felicity Jones who should win an Oscar. The score was unbelievably good. Also enjoyed the way the movie was shot. Parts felt like a dream. The overall message of the movie was fairly bleak — art is always subservient to someone or something else and will never speak for itself. I thought message delivery was a bit unpleasant, didactic and superfluous at points. Making your movie longer and your characters endure more suffering does not make it more profound.
