    Captain America: Brave New World

    ★★

“Brave New World” suffers a lousy script that doesn’t play to Anthony Mackie or Giancarlo Esposito’s strengths, which is tragic because Mackie is a fantastic Captain America.

The pacing of the movie was dreadfully slow, and the story is only further impacted by a head scratching performance by Tim Blake Nelson as Samuel Sterns. Sterns’ motivations are never clearly identified, leaving you wondering what the hell just happened.

    Harrison Ford was OK.

The after-credits scene isn’t worth seeing. We know we’re headed for “Secret Wars” already. Feel free to go pee as soon as this movie ends.

Not as scary as the original, but an engaging story with a pacing that is reminiscent of 80s horror. Loved it. Leslie Odom, Jr. was fantastic!
