The Night of the Hunter 1955
Not only did I thoroughly enjoy this classic, but I also found it surprisingly unsettling. Robert Mitchum's character (with his eerie but beautiful singing) was both chilling and charismatic.
I Particularly appreciate the lighting in this film, very similar to Film Noir's from the decade prior. Worth a watch

Rosemary's Baby 1968
I'd been planning to watch this classic for a while now and I finally had the chance to indulge in some iconic horror! It did not disappoint - everything about this film was amazing. It was frightening in a slow burn and psychological kind of way. How can I not give it five stars?!
One thing I find even more unsettling than the film's premise is the fact that the Rosemary and her partner could afford a huge beautiful apartment in New York city. Whereas I can't even afford to flat in Auckland.
