When I invite a woman to dinner I expect her to look at my face. It's the price she has to pay.

Not the worst film ever made, but it is awful. It's not even enjoyable bad like The Room (2003), it's just boring bad. All the actors were unable to scrap together an ounce of enthusiasm. Ed Wood's amateurishness isn't particularly charming either. The Earth gets visited by aliens and it's treated as a mild inconvenience. A zombie vampire walks into a woman's bedroom and she is somewhat perturbed. Three men make face-to-face contact with extraterrestrials and they are nonplussed.

Summer is officially back! This just reminded me that watching movies about large animals trying to kill people is one of the reasons I haven't ended it all.

You can tell Nolan is maturing as a filmmaker: refining his techniques on something with more depth and nuance. The massive name of the project lead to a massive roster which refreshingly never outshined their character or the myth of Oppenheimer himself.
I felt his break-neck editing didn’t really jell with the narrative until around the hour mark—it’s pretty clear he’s used to more propulsive scripts. It’s also quite back heavy.

Also I started giggling in the theatres after the sex scene cus I couldn’t stop thinking “Florence Pubes”
