Considered giving it a star for each barrel roll flip, but ultimately just took off half a star for hitting the camera.

I, in fact, was the best tennis player from my high school. Thankyouverymuch. 

A driving soundtrack pushed this movie forward even as it lobbed flashback after flashback to unfold the relationships. 

It was a complex triangle, but at least all the sides touched.

Repetitive. Predictable. Weak ending.

Bright spot: the infertility emotions felt authentic and her drunk rant in the bar was believable.

Was I supposed to understand all the political plot lines, cultures, motives, and alliances without my husband there to whisper the backstory from the books? Did I miss it? Please don’t make me watch it again… 

I wanted to like it. It felt grand and full of potential, but I struggled to hold my attention once the big action started. It’s hard to be invested and root for the team that is outnumbered and stands no chance.
