Was I supposed to understand all the political plot lines, cultures, motives, and alliances without my husband there to whisper the backstory from the books? Did I miss it? Please don’t make me watch it again…
I wanted to like it. It felt grand and full of potential, but I struggled to hold my attention once the big action started. It’s hard to be invested and root for the team that is outnumbered and stands no chance.
