The ‘Mountain People’ were going to die of diabetes soon if they kept eating breakfast like that let’s be honest.

(This is a spoiler-free review, but that being said I highly, HIGHLY recommend anyone who hasn’t seen this to go in as blind as possible to get the absolute best viewing experience. I couldn’t recommend this film more. Absolutely fantastic all around, and going in not even seeing a trailer helped my enjoyment of the film ten-fold.)

I’m convinced the theater I go to in Florida that always has some sort of obscure Christian films playing at all times saw the title of this film and nothing else and thought it was an ‘All American Patriot Yeehaw’ movie instead of an unapologetically queer film about finding identity with some of the most trans and queer representation I’ve seen on film in a very long time, if ever.

Hey everyone 👋🏻 hope yall are doing well and watching some great movies 😁

I haven’t been too active recently on here and unfortunately it will be that way for a little while longer as I’m preparing moving from Florida back to Massachusetts within the next month. With that comes other things I’m setting up like home care for my grandmother and a rehoming of my dog with my sister (who my dog loves and I thankfully will still be…

    “Grandma? You’re my number one.”

    2024 Ranked List

How To Make Millions Before Grandma Dies is an easy favorite of the year for me. Telling the story of an increasingly ill grandmother and her family’s attempts to take advantage of her and her wealth, Millions delves into a reality all too common in these types of situations. The film mostly rejects the cookie-cutter-Hollywood character development of those who are irresponsible and/or greedy in favor of a more realistic approach to…

I aspire to have a butt as perky as John Lithgow’s when I get to 80 years old.

    2025 Ranked List

The Rule of Jenny Pen is kooky, fun yet bleak, and unfortunately severely underdeveloped. The film really lives and dies with John Lithgow’s and Geoffrey Rush’s brilliant performances. Without them this movie would be ‘just okay.’ A few things that would have made this better would be a re-edit of the second half of the film, more character development…

As a gay man, I found Naomi Ackie holding a rope by her teeth oddly tantalizing.

    2025 Ranked List

Bong Joon ho’s latest directorial outing Mickey 17 is boisterous, absurdist and at times fragmented, making for a fun, over the top yet somewhat uneven SciFi original. While I haven’t yet seen all of Bong’s films, I have noticed a skew in certain performances in English vs. those in Korean; so while the story is intriguing and the editing and technical…
