The Godfather 1972
Not much to say that hasn’t already been said about one of the most famous films of all time, but those 175 minutes stretched on and on. By the end of it, so much has happened that the decapitated horse felt like it occurred a whole 2 movies ago.
It is long but thoroughly masticated and the elaboration is essential to experiencing the light slowly dying from behind Michael’s eyes.It may be a crime movie, but it’s an opera TO ME !
