Beautiful film about capitalist contamination and the delicate balance between humans and nature. Very interesting layers of morality displayed throughout. Does a phenomenal job conveying the magnitude of what is at stake here without telling you directly in its first hour. Evil does not truly exist - but ignorance, negligence, and disrespect for a quick buck sure do.

Pulse 2001
Spooky as hell, way ahead of its time in its prediction of the internet’s effect on human connection. Mulholland Drive 2001
I love this fucking movieeeeee. The first time I saw the Club Silencio scene changed my life. A person’s reality is built of a series of interlocking delusions and fantasies. The grand Hollywood illusion was the perfect platform to take the ideas Lynch put forth in Lost Highway and make something that really enchants the viewer into the same fantasy the character is experiencing, only to violently rip the rug out from both of us in the last act. The anti-La La Land. Naomi Watts gives one of the most perfect performances ever imo.

Lake Michigan Monster 2018
Just as creative and fun as Hundreds of Beavers if a little less bulletproof in terms of joke hit rate and overall aesthetic cohesion. Still a fun ride for those who enjoy that type of weirdo slapstick humor - and it has multiple lines that had us chuckling hard. I love the Lake Monster costume/effects a lot. Definitely doesn’t hurt that my hometown was one of the filming locations. Living for the Lake X-Press usage (I’ve ridden that boat!). Looking forward to more from this director!
