  “…I think that's what smoking is really all about. That's the power of smoke— it's just this thing— I got fire right here in my hand. Smoke and fire is literally, coming right out of my mouth. And it's very intimidating to the non-smoker, cause it's like talking to someone that's going “my head could open up, lava could explode out, pour right down my face, doesn't bother me a bit.””

  I’m coming to realise that movies that are almost good are so much more painful than movies that are actually bad. This continues to be so aesthetically perfect and formally really cool with all the footage-style camera stuff going on, and yet structurally it feels completely shapeless.   I’m normally pulling my hair out failing to “understand the meaning of” a work of art but this is I think the most comfortable with ambiguity I have ever been. There are so many different angles I can see coming at it from and all of them seem valid. I’m also amazed how many things I picked up on this time that I didn’t the first shape wise.
