  I like how this movie has a fun sense of humor, explores black property ownership, traverses different moods, and 
  gives nuance to its lead characters, but I do not like how it stereotypes others. It was really disappointing to see the film take a turn towards stereotype halfway thru. Lost its integrity for me and was odd witnessing that given Leigh's influence on character construction. It would actually be more radical if everyone had a nuanced depiction lol. The result,…

  Really distinct in PoV, visuals, editing.. something to say about the continuum of body+earth, earth+body. It could wash over you and it very much wants to but this goal is unfortunately hampered by a reliance on speech, despite what it has to say about naming, labels, differentiation etc. Of course, the poetry and prose is significant, but the imagery just as if not more. Wish there was less talk.
