    This is easily the high point for this series, which maybe isn't saying much if you're not a fan of the series but I do like the series overall. I knew once the trailer hit in 2014 that they understood what would make the concept of the Purge fun as a movie. In other words, just do a riff on Escape from L.A.. Just, ya know, considerably less campy.

    Had the immense pleasure of attending an advance screening of this movie in theaters. Not to harp on Netflix as much as I often do, but it's such a shame most people will never get the big screen experience with this movie. I'm fortunate that I got that experience because the movie is gorgeous. I admittedly rarely watch modern animated movies, so my standards may be skewed, but the style is undeniable.
