  Dropped half a start after sitting with it overnight. If you like Dali it's a fun watch that somehow does feel a bit long despite the run time. If you don't care for Dali, you can follow your instinct to skip it.

  This was a rapt as I've been in a theater in some time. There isn't a single predictable rhythm about this. And this is how you use gory violence without seeming like a creep as a filmmaker. Saulnier makes the violence real because it makes us feel the real consequence of violence. And this also isn't just an exercise of putting an audience through a wringer. There are some light moments and moments of hope in here.

  We've all been at a house party where the guy in a fishnet shirt is playing nu metal rhythm guitar along with the stereo to a captive audience of babes. So glad to see this represented in the cinema.
