I did enjoy this, but can’t help but feel Hugh grant was a bit of a miscast. He performed well, but there’s no universe where I find him in the least bit intimidating. Otherwise a pretty solid thriller flick, especially for my “grew up in a religion” crew
So so so so weak! I went into this intrigued by the concept and really wanting to like it but was super disappointed. After a solid act 1 the movie heads downward and never heads back up. The romance felt like a millennial-era tumblr fanfic and the fantasy horror was Journey to the Center of the Earth-level at best. Redo the movie and don’t water it down to appeal to broader audiences
