A man with a headtrauma goes into the hospital for experimental brain surgery that supposedly will keep him from getting seizures that makes him very angry and violent. But will it work?

The first half of the movie is mostly concerned with the medical procedure. There's a lot of interesting details in almost every scene. Like the brain surgeon barfing in the bathroom due to severe nerves, just before entering the operating theatre and babbling away during the surgery and…

To me Hanging Heart felt like a weird mix of Murder Rock, Tough Guys Don't Dance, Body Double, Dressed to Kill and perhaps even a tiny bit of Lost Highway.

The first half of this film is so good. I really like the characters and setting, and the atmosphere is top notch. The dream sequences are really well done and creepy. The sing-along scene is an unexpected treat (great song by the way). The movie feels intelligent, almost visionary.

Then something happens, and everything turns into a cheaply made metal music video version of Hellraiser. The plot disappears inexplicably. The characters stop talking and mostly scream and curse. The focus…
