  I feel like this makes May December feel like a fairy tail but maybe it’s just bc this is present day and less about the aftermath 

  Effective use of closeups and liked cinematography overall 

  I liked the diegetic sound design and non traditional score but foley sometimes felt too clean and took me out 

  Was not expecting Asian French adoptee representation but interesting choice 

  I guess French ppl really do wear more designer :/// 

  The shot w the sister in the end was so scary lmao 

  Crazy climax and killer ending 

  Have a feeling this bitch is friends w Lyd Tar

  Had to hate binge this after hate reading the book last weeek… god these ppl are insufferable — two of the most self pitying ppl I’ve ever seen on tv, one rich one poor BIG WHOOP

  I get that there’s nothing more relatable than a multi year situationship fueled by lust and poor communication but 12 episodes is a bit much 

  Felt JUST like the book…so good job I guess

  Kinda underwhelmed by this tbh :( felt plot heavy and emotionally underwritten, I liked igor as a character but his treatment in this film felt heavy handed. Similarly the humor of the bumbling men contrasted with the real tragedy Ani is experiencing didn’t work for me…felt like tonal dissonance rather than nuanced absurdity idk everyone loves this movie so maybe I’m dumb 

  Also I liked the opening shot but all the scenes of them fucking got to be gratuitous
