  third and a halfish time through, and it's plainly the best television show i have ever seen. yes i love all of your poser favorites too, i am just like you. third season of twin peaks /maybe/ beats this out, and everyone knows how good that shit is, so this being even in that ballpark is meaningful. especially on rewatch after rewatch, the curse is impossibly rich and dense, like a nightmare cake that only gets bigger the more you eat.

  Fun but terribly heavy handed. It’s a shame the social critique amounts to just saying the socialism word a couple times, especially when in the film socialists are just “people who want to make the world better.” If only there was a way one could make incisive direct critiques of the system and its participants without resorting to such vagueries.

  On an unrelated note, The Curse is now available to stream on Showtime via Paramount+, Hulu, or Prime Video.
