I haven't seen this since high school and half expected to find it grating or something. I'm curious to revisit Synecdoche NY as I suspect I've soured on Kaufman over time. Despite my hangups with his particular writing tics though this movie is just a hell of a good time. Gondry directed the shit out of it and managed to make everything feel so intuitive. You can cynically call it baby's first surrealism but go ahead jingle those keys in front of me I'm loving every minute of it Jerry!
