Felt a bit like watching a Chaplin silent film. Lots of funny scenes built around chaos and confusion. From a technical and Production perspective - this film is almost perfect.

Béla Tarr's Satantango excels with its long takes drawing the viewer into the lives of the residents. Conversations are seen in full, walks last minutes longer than any other director would decide to cut. The inflated runtime of this film is due to the creative choice and commitment of letting the viewer watch the slow, normal lives of these character that usually wouldn't be seen in film.
