I had no idea what to expect going into this, but I was impressed with this film. Bleak and disturbing in parts, funny in others. Really captures the absurdity and futility of the war in a way that few films have been able to do. The frequent flashbacks and flashforwards worked well too, showing the nostalgic times before the war, and the broken men that the soldiers had become by the end of it.

This whole film is such a vibe. Alain Delon was truly one of a kind.
