  First dabble in Pakistani cinema and I was shocked how great this was.

  It’s shown a side to the country I, and I imagine many others, simply didnt know about as it’s never shown.

  Hope it gets a shitload of attention when it’s released, some really unique elements to it and fantastic cinematography.

  It’s a shame this isn’t in competition because it’s the best thing I’ve seen at Cannes so far. The plot isn’t anything new but it takes those elements and utilises them beautifully. A fantastic atmosphere in the theatre too.
  I didn’t look away once, ridiculously enjoyable made even better being at the world premiere packed with some of my heroes celebrating 75 years of Cannes Festival. If 16 year old me could see all of the stuff I’ve done so far he’d piss himself…

  …and then tell me he knew it’d happen anyway.
