  Admittedly, my expectations were so high going into this that I was quietly worried that I’d be disappointed.

  Somehow, though, it managed to even surpass anything I wanted. What an absolute masterpiece of a movie. Martin Scorsese truly is one of the best filmmakers of all time and showed that he’s still got it even at this late stage.

  Usually I don’t let people talking shit about movies online impact my expectations for them, but with how much shit people had been chatting about Wicked, I’d somehow let them convince me it was going to be disappointing and I feel really stupid for that now 

  The performances, especially Erivo and Grande are mesmerising, the set design is immaculate and it really does the stage show justice 

  Dancing Through Life was a religious experience and that ending had me in awe 

  Really didn’t expect this to me one of my favourite movies of the year, but fucking hell was that good
