in all seriousness: the lighting was ugly but that was definitely the point; tedesco was such a vapid character (not actually intended to be a vape pun); and when the window in the chapel exploded i genuinely thought it was the rapture.

you know how they say that food made with love tastes better? well this film absolutely ate and you can tell they put their whole hearts into every part of it. more is more and puss is boots and life with friends is worth fighting for
i know this might make me very UNpopular but the resounding morning-after feeling is that this just wasn’t it.
don’t get me wrong, cynthia and ariana gave some utterly stellar performances—like beyond fantastic in every respect. a few glinda moments even had a hint of a whisper of cat valentine in them which made me very happy, and my face was beaming during every song. it was also hilariously campy, and it’s best moments happened when it took itself unseriously.
