The Shawshank Redemption is a good film. It’s well acted, well written, well directed and, most of all, looks wonderful. But it in no way lives up to the reputation it has acquired over the past 30 years as one of the greatest films of all time. Hell it’s not even the best Stephen King adaptation by Frank Darabont.
