I found this to be a very underrated film by Scorcese. It played out like a beautiful nightmare broken in structure, similar to our own subconscious while we are dreaming. And oh man was this a stressful watch.
From the start, the film sets a tone of unease, with Paul's initial encounter with Marcy, leading him down a rabbit hole of strange and surreal events. As Paul moves through the city, we see the contrast between…

Bones and All 2022
Bones and All (2022)

This one started off so well and almost stuck the landing… the suspense was fantastic and it’s a beautiful story packed with gorgeous American scenery. Bones and All wears its inspirations on its sleeve and is surprisingly soulful and endearing. However there was a little bit of meat left on the bone.
I felt the inspiration from Terrance Malick’s Badlands (one of my favorites) and also Ducournau’s Raw. Somehow Luca was able to blend the French…

The Count of Monte Cristo 2024
Pierre Niney is one to watch out for. Unbelievable performance from the lead and one of the best looking films in years. Fantastic and refreshing take on one of the greatest stories ever told. Every shot was beautiful and the performances were great. I just wish it was a little bit longer and they had spent more time in Chatuea d’if. It’s one of the best parts of the book and the weakest part of this film.

This had no business going as hard as it did…
What an awesome addition to the Evil Dead collection. I have no words. They just don’t make them like this anymore. Definitely in the top 10 for bloodiest movies ever made alongside Martyrs, one of the other Evil Dead’s and Peter Jackson’s Dead Alive.
Don’t get me wrong there are a few cheesy moments where I cringed (no pun intended), but this thing flowed so…

Synecdoche, New York (2008)
100Synecdoche, New York broke me.. (Heavy spoilers and second viewing is encouraged)
It might be the most important movie I’ve ever watched. It’s hard for me to recommend this movie if you haven’t seen a Kaufman film before. A lot of his movies have these elements of magical realism that drive his message forward. A lot of what is shown in the film isn’t really there. This can ruin it for people who are new…Translated from by
