The Brain Eaters is an OK watch. It offers lots of trigger-happy townsfolk blowing each other away with revolvers, scrappy fist fights, and some creative (albeit simple) cinematography that enhances the madness of the film. However, at 61 minutes, the script flies too fast requiring too many leaps of logic; plot elements are rarely justified and you're left with a half-baked Twilight Zone episode. The Brain Eaters is OK, but could have been more.

A family film that succeeds where so many fail, by leaning into the real-world peril of being 1/4 inches tall. Yes, Honey, I Shrunk the Kids is goofy in places and downright hilarious in others; however, it's not afraid to take itself seriously when handling themes of wounded marriages, absent fathers, and teenage insecurities.
