Maybe it's because I live here now that I find this film a touch discomforting - yet it still never reaches enough of a rhythm to make me feel anything else. Too drawn out and unhurried - might be my least favourite Schrader so far. Wish I met an Italian man with Christopher Walker's accent though..

Logging every film I've watched in the last 6 months on the same date to make life easy - and funnily enough, this unexpectedly might be one of the top three. Sarita Choudhury and Denzel have great chemistry and are hot, - nothing more is needed. Also a weirdly great political film about Idi Amin's Uganda.
