Star Wars: The Force Awakens 2015
Independent of my negative feelings towards the sequel trilogy as a whole, I will never disassociate this movie from how genuinely exciting and fun its release was. All the theories, the promo, NEW Star Wars content back when that was not commonplace - it was an absolute delight! This was the first movie I ever saw in theatres multiple times. When I watch it, I will always remember seeing it with my Dad, and debriefing our thoughts afterwards over burgers…

I genuinely cannot believe they cut the best song in the show.
Also Patrice was weirdly unlikable? Evan having to grovel for forgiveness with her not acknowledging how maybe Evan's move was hard for him and that's why he's so desperate for friends? Maybe apologizing too for being selfish with his friendship? Not sure about the message there but I don't remember her being like that in the stage show.
A miss. Clearly whoever wrote this screenplay did not understand the strengths of the stage production musically or otherwise. All the kids were incredibly talented though, especially Eli.
