Century of Film #76
This is very technically well done. I haven't seen a David Fincher film in which I can't say that.
Look, I've seen a lot of dark and gritty movies as part of this list, and this is the first one where I question if there is anything special to say. To me, it's just nihilism; A useless ideology.
But hey, that's what I've said about other movies before seeing a different facet about them. Maybe that's the case here too.
Neat, impressive, great tone and shots. Not enriching.

This premise is certifiably insane. It's unconventional, and at a surface-level it's undeniably weird.
But we ain't here for surface level. Akasaka has proven that he's a brilliant writer in multiple genres at this point. Every twist and turn in this is such *chefs kiss*
I think after season 2 is over I won't be able to stop myself from binging the manga.
These cliffhangers are reducing my lifespan. This cynicism is crusting my soul.

So you're telling me that this is a story where the strongest guy ever defeats the oppressors of freedom with the power of friendship, disrupts the world order, all while having a bounty that keeps going up?
Fellas. John Wick 4 is peak One Piece.
