  A good movie. Burdened a bit by its own premise which is so unlikely it forced writers to make narrative leaps to ratchet up the tension. And they somehow made me question whether that was really Kiefer Sutherland.

  No other film I've seen has shown the redemptive powers of art like this one. Shot beautifully with performances by RTA alumni that are simply mesmerizing. I didn't read much about this movie going in, which made the ending credits an emotional wallop as they revealed that these wonderful characters you grew to love over the course of the film were all "as himself" in the credits. An astonishing achievement and Oscar-worthy in every aspect. Never maudlin, always powerful. Divine Eye wins best supporting or there is no justice in this world. See it. Absorb it. Take it with you.

  Even though I am aware that EVERYONE in the music industry was on drugs in the 70s and 80s, I would have guessed the lone exception to be Christopher Cross. And I would have been very, very wrong. Great doc about the hub of Toto, Michael McDonald, and Kenny Loggins and all their spokes in the great incestuous Yacht Rock wheel.

Following
