  James Cameron is actively exploiting indigenous cultures and history for profit. Honestly, Avatar is one of the worst franchises because how can James say the contemporary Lakota are “hopeless” and a “dead-end society” and the generations of fighting against colonialism and continued oppression weren’t and aren’t fighting hard enough while romanticizing and objectifying them and their culture in his movies.
