  a deeply nuanced exploration of Timothy Treadwell and those around him. Herzog can reveal rich, complex characters in a short time and refuses to impose judgment. By giving space for multiple perspectives, he allows the audience to see Treadwell, his supporters, and his critics as they are.

  Herzog has the approach to find beauty and meaning rather than define them. everyone in the film has their own unique worldview. Treadwell’s passion and flaws exist in the surrounding characters.

  Really loved the performances and the humor. Tragic, forlorn, and distant. In a time when sexual violence is garnering more and more public scrutiny, it’s refreshing for a film to focus less on the violence itself and more on the community handling it. Everyone is at once victim and perpetrator of violence.
