I really do enjoy this doc, but I was a bit disappointed that they never bring up the LaVey shaped elephant in the room(past the warm fuzzy interview), or even acknownlege Lucien Greaves' past remarks. The doc paints a very postive picture of the TST, to the point of dismissing any critism as typical triggered Christians, even though many of those concerns originally come from inside the organization. Again, great film, but felt a it missed the mark a bit.

This was a DNF film for me; I made it as far as the peach scene and then stopped. I know this is an extremely controversial film, and I don’t have much more to add to the critique of the story/plot because I think what I would have to say has already been said: bad. What irked me aside from the obvious was the film style, which was both pretentious and boring as hell. This film was visually terrible to…
Extremely odd film. It creates this awful tension, disgust, fear, and discomfort…which is both intense and admirable. I love the use of commercials, strange editing, and the face-warping effect. This film is unique and a whole experience to enjoy(preferably not sober), and I’ll recommend it to anyone trying to refresh their views on what a film can look like and achieve.
